Ladies Gala Days 2020

Last Friday proved to be a profitable day for 3 of the 4 ladies playing at Leeming, not only did they come second in the competition but managed to win 4 of the raffle prizes with Jeni Stretton winning 2, Linda Young and Julie Craven each winning one. The 4th player Chris Starbuck didn’t win a raffle but managed to win a prickly plant (well done Chris!).  A great day of bowls and some great photos of the ladies with their prizes in last Tuesday’s Bias.

Our Halls Head Ladies have been enjoying the hospitality of Clubs in the region.   Two teams went to Binningup on 6th November, 2020.  No outright winners but Jenni Petty, June Lewer, Lou Warnerford and Mariee Scanlan had two good wins from three games and won the AM Round Prize while Jeanette Brockman, Faye Smythe, Sadie Gilpin and Glenne Carter also had two good wins  from three games and won the PM Round Prize.  The competition was strong but all the ladies played their games in good spirits with a lot of laughs.  Unfortunately we didn’t win any raffles!

Yunderup was the next Gala Day on Wednesday 11th  with two teams representing Halls Head and once again June Lewer, Bev Farrow, Raelene Chalwell and Mariee Scanlan picked up a Morning Round Prize.    Well done again ladies.

It is great to see our Ladies supporting other Club Gala Days.   We had 40 Entries for our Ladies Gala Day held in October with teams from country, metro and local clubs.

Keep an eye on the White Board  on Thursdays showing the Flyers  for all the upcoming Gala Days,  get a team together and enjoy a great day out. The Flyers are also in a Folder kept at the Ladies Notice Board.   Take a photo or photocopy of the Flyer  for your records and return to the folder please.
