Lady Novices Make it a Complete Evening.

A night of presentations to some very worthy recipients was complimented with a great bowling exhibition from our Lady Novices, a magnificent sunset, a verandah full of lookers and a hall full of members and guests eating.

The bowling was the final of the 2019 / 2020 Ladies Novice Championship and playoff for the Plate. Chris Barker raised the winner’s trophy with Margaret Schuts runnerup. Desley Jenkins wrote her name on the plate with Lynette Coulston as runnerup. The bowling was a very high standard as indicated by the standing room only crowd of supporters lining the verandah.

The Ladies bowls hierarchy excelled themselves with the presentation, down to the trophy table and winner’s tablecloth. They may well have organised the sunset for the occasion.

While all of this was going on outside, ‘Rocking Ronnie’ had the inside jumping with over one hundred people lined up for dinner.

But the night really belonged to Chris, Margaret, Desley and Lynette with all of us ‘hangers on’ certainly enjoyed it.
