Men & Ladies Singles Championship 2022

Today in very warm conditions, over 120 members of Halls Head Bowling Club came together to watch the men and women play out the club semi-finals and finals of the prestigious Singles Championships.

The men’s semi finals were played between, Denis Rubery and Peter Nimmo on one rink, with Stewart Anderson and Peter Nicolay playing in the other semi-final.

The ladies played out the semi finals in the Major and a Plate. In the major Kaye Sewell played May Kiddle and Dianne Lobb played Ros Faulkner. In the plate Jeni Stretton played Heather Little and Lyn Clouston played Bev Farrow.

After lunch the finals were played between Stewart Anderson and Denis Rubery for the Men’s Title, with Denis taking out the Men’s Singles Title.

In the Ladies major, Kaye Sewell and Dianne Lobb also played some great bowls with Dianne taking out the Ladies Singles Title.

In the ladies Plate, Heather Little and Lyn Clouston played a cracking game with Lyn coming out on top. Not bad after winning the Ladies Novice Championship 2021. (see Archive Post February 23 2021).
