Ladies Two Bowls Singles

Thursday, 10th December  saw a big field of ladies playing in this event, sponsored by Marlene Groves and Maureen Hewitt.    Marlene & Maureen have sponsored this event for many years when Maureen joined Marlene after one of our elderly bowlers,  Mavis Moore, retired.    This event is fondly known as  M & M with packets of M & M’s given out with the prizes.     The competition was played in good spirits and very good bowling from all our ladies made the competition tough.    The scoring was 17Up.

Winner of the Major was Patsy Smith, narrowly beating Runner up Robyn Hutchison 17-16.

Winner of the Plate was Jacki Henri who had to dig deep to overcome June Lewer  17-12.

Congratulations to all the ladies who played in the event,  the weather was hot and humid and all ladies did well to complete the event.
