Ladies Committee Weekly Report

Congratulations to the winner of the 2 bowls singles sponsored by Maureen Hewitt and Marlene Groves. Jackie Henry was the winner 2nd year running well done, runner up Marg Gollan, plate winner Janette Brockman.

We have recently been playing our veterans singles with some great games being played and some unexpected results. It was a very tight game between Pauline Pierce and Dianna Walker to see who went through to the semi-final with each end bowl for bowl excellent game to watch with Pauline just sneaking through to win the day. One of our very new bowlers has also managed to win all her games Margeret Schults goes through to the semi and plays off against Pauline on Thursday. Kaye Sewell and Faye Smythe are the other two contenders. The semi-final plate players are Maureen Conduit v Lyn Plater, and Pam Harman v Chris Starbuck. The time for the veterans will commence at 10 o’clock so players please be there by 9.30. Social bowls will be played at the normal time names in by 8.30 for 9 o’clock start. The finishing times should coincide to allow spectators to stay behind and watch the final game.

Congratulations to those bowlers that played at Yunderup on Friday especially Di Steels team for coming runners up. I would especially like to congratulate Di for including a couple of newer bowlers to play with her and Janine Baker namely Pam Chester and a very new lady Gill Matheson well done team.

Ladies please keep looking on the board for competitions coming up and put your names in early; this is much appreciated and ensures you get a game.

New bowlers; if you have any queries, questions or concerns please do not hesitate to come into the match room – we are always there to listen, help or advise.

Good bowling to each and every one of you but most of all enjoy.
