A Good Story
At the first day of the Men’s Pairs Championship the usual heavies rose to the top.
Guelfi, Starbuck, Trewhella and Marius Burglar with Les Coyne all made it to the Quarter finals but there is a dark hoarse galloping along in the Plate. ‘Jamo’ and ‘Spud’ Taylor have certainly not had a easy time, losing to Ron Garnham in the first round only to meet first division JJ Butt and Stewey Anderson and then Bill Warner and Denny Berson in the last game of the day.
Next week it is more fist division in Peter Cole and Dennis Nagle so who knows what can happen.
They have certainly done themselves proud so good playing for the remainder of the series.
